Castillejo: "We saw a very good Valencia CF"

Samu Castillejo spoke to VCF MEDIA after Valencia CF's preseason friendly against Borussia Dortmund, won 1-3 by Gennaro Gattuso's side. The new signing talked about a solid performance in the first fixture of the summer.
The game
We felt really good. We did what we've been workng on all week -the rest of the squad even longer, from before I arrived. We saw a very good Valencia CF out there, with very good players who want the ball. We got a very good result against a very good team.
My legs certainly feel heavy, even though they are skinny. I've had one week less of work compared to everybody else, but I'm eager to continue working, improve and help the team.
The impact of the coach
It's the mentality that the coach has. When I came here, I encountered a team with a fear of playing, but he's changed their ideas. There are very good players with a lot of talent. We hope to see a good Valencia CF this season.
Combining with Guedes
Forming a connection with good players like Gonçalo is always easy. He gave me the ball, I returned it to him, and he finished off well.
Aims for the season
Valencia CF are an historic side and always fighting to get ito Europe. The mentality of the players and the coach when he came here was to put the team back where the club belongs. That's the intention.
Preseason fixtures
As the coach said before, friendlies don't really exist in football owadays. We saw a good Valencia CF today, and the result gives us even more desire to continue working.
Personal motivation
I've always been training. I had the injury in October of last year, which held me back a bit, and besides that I've always been as hard working as anybody. Now I can enjoy games and minutes.
